Well, yes, its been a long time since we posted any news. But lots has been happening at the clinic in the past few months!!Christmas and January have been very busy times at the clinic. With a lot of our patients having their travel plans disrupted by the pre-Christmas snow, Nina was wondering if she would ever get back home to South Africa for Christmas!!! But luckily, she flew out Christmas day and spent an amzing three weeks with her family! So I (Lyana) covered all the patients and was kept very busy!! On the whole we both have been packed full with new and old patients and lots of recommendations which is fantastic - Thank You!
Franco had a busy year last year and as always, was kept busy with his group of celebrity clients, amongst his regular clients (also being kept busy with his osteopathic studies). To namedrop, Franco regularly treats Lisa Snowdon (Model and Strictly come dancing celeb), Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls lead singer and girlfriend of Lewis Hamilton), Andy Bell (guitarist of Oasis), Jay Bothroyd (footballer and captain of Cardiff FC), and had treated Sebastian Coe (athlete and politician) and Peter Mandelsson (politician).
As for me, I've just come back from an amazing course at the weekend, initiating my studies into SOT - Sacro Occipital Technique, a technique best known for cranial work but also involving detailed analysis and corrections for the pelvis, extremities and the visceral system. SOT and SOT Cranial allow practitioners to knowledgeably analyse a patient's body to determine underlying spinal, cranial and organ-related problems and had been in use for over 70 years.
Nina is also deep in study (and dissertation!) for her Masters in Chiropractic Paediatrics, and will be posting her 'tummy time' questionnaire on the website shortly, in oredr to allow parents to fill out the form and help in her research.
As well as all this news, as some of you may know, I am 24 weeks pregnant and will be leaving for a short maternity leave in mid-April, but will be returning to my 3 days in September. Nina will be covering in the meantime!
So thats all the news for the meantime but we have plenty more coming up, so keep checking our website in the meantime!
