Elise Mendelle BA(Hons) DC
Elise Mendelle is originally from Toronto, Canada and has been in the UK for over seven years. She studied at the highly respected Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), graduating in 2002. CMCC demands four years of rigorous study, combining academic discipline with practical clinical experience culminating in a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree. Elise's first degree is in psychology and she draws on this background to offer holistic treatment to her patients.Elise first went to a chiropractor after trying many other therapies for her own back pain. Chiropractic helped from the first session! She was amazed at how natural the treatment felt, and how restorative the body's healing capabilities were once she began her treatment.
Elise is patient centred, and believes in the importance of incorporating all aspects of a patient's life into their treatment plans. This includes but is not limited to: posture, ergonomics, occupational and personal stress and general health. She examines illness behaviours and negative prognostic factors that are impeding recovery.
Elise's functional approach aims to get patients enjoying a pain free status whilst participating in all the activities of daily life that they enjoyed previously, be that running, gardening or even looking after kids.
Elise has extensive clinical experience and has seen and successfully treated a wide variety of complaints, including shoulder and knee problems, headaches and sports injuries. Her key strengths lie in the non-surgical and differential diagnosis of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the neck and back.
Elise maintains a health lifestyle by running three times a week and running around looking after her two children!
RECENT COURSES: Elise recently attended a seminar called neuromuscular reeducation and is busy practicing her technique in order to offer patients an effective, soft tissue approach that is complemented by chiropractic care. Ask for more details.
